Be Curious - Draw a Leaf or Flower

"Following the drawing and painting activities made me more confident in that Iím able to tell people Iím actually following a course, doing drawing etc. Itís a good conversation point. It makes you proud that youíre doing something."

You can vary this exercise by:

  • Making drawings of the same flower or leaf at different times of its life cycle, noting how it’s appearance changes over time.  For example, an oak leaf would be a fresh light green in early spring, turning to gold and then crispy brown later in the year
  • You’ll now have lots of drawings which you can use for creating a design to be used in the felt-making exercise
