Be Curious - Notice What You Like - Part 1 and 2

Notice What You Like - Part 1: Getting started

In this exercise you’ll go out and look for leaves and flowers that interest you, and note down the qualities of your chosen item.  Try to complete the exercise whilst you’re outdoors, but if that’s not possible you could take the leaf or flower home and finish off the exercise there (but don’t pick flowers from the park!).

  • Go outside into your garden, or the park, and spend some time looking for leaves or flowers that you find interesting. Select a leaf or flower to study more closely
  • Looking carefully, notice all the colours, textures, and patterns which you can see, and describe them using the prompts below. If you need help in thinking of words have a look at the pick list below:

•    The colours are   …………………………………………………………………

•    The textures are   ………………………………………………………

•    The patterns are   …………………………………………………………………….
