"I feel it’s something that is always there, something you’re born with that gets lost along the way, or stolen by others. Sometimes you have to dig deep to find it again."
Amy Lee Tempest
New activity suggestion:
Once you’ve made your colour and texture collage you could try different variations of collage techniques to explore your theme. You could use words, pictures or colours cut or ripped from magazines and newspapers, scraps of wallpaper, wrapping paper or anything that catches your eye from junk mail or sweet wrappers, foil, fabric scraps and collected texture rubbings. Have a look at our examples below, exploring recycled materials, for ideas
As you’re using the symbol of a hand to represent yourself you could consider using other symbols on your hand. Symbols can mean different things to different people but here are some ideas you could use:
Heart: love
Bird: freedom
Butterfly: metamorphosis, change
Circle: eternity
Door: opportunity
Key: knowledge
Leaf: renewal, growth
Spiral: continuity
Star: hope
