Although our levels of happiness are largely determined by our genes, there are things we can do to help boost the levels of joy in our lives. From a fake smile to counting our blessings, it’s often those little things lying within our control that can make all the difference.


The old advice of counting our blessings really is wise by the way! Studies have now proved that, by just taking a little bit of time to notice the things that make us happy, we can increase the amount of happiness we experience without having to do anything extra.
