Couching Stitch:

An introduction ‘couching’, showing some examples of how these stitches have been used and how to do ‘couching’. Couching is a method of holding down one thread with another thread. You can be creative with the materials and threads that you use.  You can use any stitch to hold down your thread. It doesn’t have to be a straight stitch as shown in our video and PDF example, it could be a cross-stitch, for example.
