Choose a colour for your sky from the ones you prepared. It needn't be a typical sky colour
Dampen the top third of your paper with clean water as shown
Add some splodges of paint to get some soft edged areas, as shown
You don’t necessarily need to add lots of colour at this stage, as the sky can look more effective if left lighter than the rest of the painting. Also, areas of the paper left white work well as clouds.
