We have compiled a selection of links which we think may be of interest. Whilst Start2 aims to list links that are professional, reliable and appropriate, that might be of interest to Start2 visitors, we do not offer a guarantee of any kind regarding those services that appear on our links page, and neither should the inclusion of a link to our links page be taken as an endorsement by Start2.
Due to funding constraints, the 'Links' page and ‘Contact Us’ facility is unfortunately currently unstaffed except for technical problems. Any links were correct at time of adding.
Here at Recovery Education we value the experience you have lived as much as that of people who have had professional training.
Recovery Education follows the same methods as adult education, delivering courses and workshops throughout the year. The courses are designed, developed and run by people who have lived experience of mental health challenges (including carers) or 'experts by experience' and people with professional expertise.
All the courses will provide opportunities for discussion, promote independent learning and offer an environment that is open to all. They will vary in length from one-off workshops to those that run for a number of weeks. Courses will be run at a variety of venues across Manchester.
Whether you want to develop new skills or move towards an understanding of mental health challenges, you will find the Recovery Education is a relaxed, friendly place to learn with lots of support on hand if you need it.
Everyone who enrols is seen as a student, regardless of their previous experience or other identities.
