Step 4: Tracery of branches:

After the leaves have dropped you’ll see the shape of the tree or bush and how the branches are formed.

• Sketch the trees or photograph them

 

Oak tree:

 

 

Horse Chestnut:

 

 

Sycamore tree:

Sycamores have a more bushy form than the Horse Chesnut or Oak Tree.

 

 

Cotoneaster:

Other shrubs to look out for are Cotoneaster shrubs . These spread along the ground and form a herringbone pattern with their branches.
