Withdrawing and avoiding things; participating less in enjoyable activities; and focusing on what�s not going so well, and what�s not getting done, are some of the behaviours of feeling low in mood.
The following exercise can retrain us to shift our focus, to acknowledge, celebrate and build on our daily successes.

Rather than waiting until we feel better to do things, research tells us that an outside-in approach works. That is, making changes in what we do and how we do things. Doing activities we value and normally enjoy, despite feeling low or unmotivated, can change how we feel about ourselves.
