How to make a quill instructions:

  • Lie the quill down on the cutting mat
  • Holding it firmly, and cutting away from your hands, cut through the quill diagonally as shown

 

 

 

 

  • Holding the quill flat, so you can see inside, cut across the tip to form a flat end for the nib

 

 

 

  • Turn the quill with the (nib) end facing you and cut a groove down the centre of the nib as shown below. You can also trim the sides to neaten the end, as shown

 

 

 

  • You’re now ready to use your quill pen
