Step 6: Texture
- Complete your work, by drawing in textures. Texture – the structure, appearance and feel of something – can be drawn in lots of ways, by using different marks and drawing tools. You could also get inspiration from our activities - ‘Tools & Techniques’ and ‘Make Marks to Music'
You can use, for example:
- squiggly marks
- lots of parallel lines (known as ‘hatching’, or ‘cross hatching’ if crossed over with further lines)
- random marks
- dots
- round loopy marks
- light delicate lines
- bold dark lines
