Start2 will soon be even easier to use!

Your feedback is very important to us, and we’re making some changes in response to what you’re telling us about how you’d like to use Start2.

We’re going to make 2 improvements:

  • We’re going to re-organise the way we label our creative wellbeing course activities on Start2
  • We’re going to reorganise the structure of Start2

We’ll keep the original Start2 running whilst we make these changes, so don’t worry about losing your way around the site.

New labelling on Start2

Our new labelling will use Wellbeing themes rather than arts headings. So for instance instead of labels for our creative wellbeing courses such as ‘Drawing and Painting’ you may see a wellbeing-themed course heading such as ‘Stress Busting’.
This will help you to clearly understand the wellbeing benefits of using particular exercises.

New structure on Start2

Our new structure will be simpler, with even clearer navigation. This will help you to find exercises more easily, and to explore our large range of activities with greater ease.

What else is new?

As part of the work we’re doing on Start2, we’ll be adding a range of fantastic new activities. These include:

  • A Be Active section
  • A range of shorter exercises

Be Active section

It’s well-known that physical activity can boost both body and mind. On the other hand, we don’t all fancy a jog round the block, so how to work exercise into our daily routine in an interesting way? Our new Be Active Start2 section offers specially developed fun creative activities that will also encourage moderate physical exercise.  These activities are great for all ages, and can be done on your own or with others. (You won’t even realize that you’re doing exercise!).

Bite size exercises

Even though we might be keen to try a creative wellbeing activity, sometimes time or energy are against us and we simply don’t get around to it. This is why Start2 has designed a new set of bite-sized activities that you can do in small periods of time, from just a few minutes upwards. You can also repeat the exercises as often as you want, to gain wellbeing benefits without having to set aside an hour or two of your time.
